I've used mobil 1 gold fully synthetic 10w-30w oil in my grand vitara v-6 since brand new and changed it every 5000kms and it's never used a drop and it's still reasonbly clean on the stick when its due for next change too.
i've done 60'000kms on the stuff

I used mobil 1 gold in my commodore, then changed to valvaline durablend. It is a semi synthetic and offers alot better protection then Mobile 1. They did a excellent test and write up in street commodores a few months ago on oil protection quality, well worth a read to anyone with a petrol engine.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)

Your throwing away good oil (and money), synthetic will go a lot further than that.
Damian.

should I swim it first ?
