Winches ?????

Post by Rem 22250 »

Currently I'm using a Brawn ZR9500 winch on my GU and so far all has been good with it. But I was wondering what Mile Marker, Ox, TMAX, Superwinch, Ramsey are like. Currently Im running the factory bullbar and have been told that the Warn HS9500i will not fit true or not ? And I'm not interested in the XD9000 as I have found they are just junk.
Or other recommendation's

factory GU winch bar will not fit anything bigger than a 9000lb or 9500lb (warn) winch. If you want bigger than you need to get an ARB deluxe bar (will take you to 12,000lb warn)
This is to maintain suitability for airbag. If you don't care about that then your options are endless.

1) if your happy with your current winch, why change?

2) why are XD9000s junk? theres 1000s of them out there running fine

3) you need a differnet bar. ARB 6 week wait for one of theirs...

XD9000's not junk in my experience, I started with one and it pulled like a teenager and never ever let me down, 2c worth.

Having said all that I've have heard nothing but awesome feedback about Brawn from those I know and trust.

RoldIT fitted up Warn M10,000 into his GU winch bar. Check out his thread in the members section for more information, or PM him directly.
Cheers,
Dan.
