1HDFT multi valve drop collett

Post by tobie »

finally got the pump and injectrs back from the shop

problems found, the injector nozzles were well worn, replaced with the new late model nozzles.

the injector pump had a sticky advance/retard piston, the reason for the miss at idle.

total for the rebuils of both pump and injectors $2100.

now after getting ready to re install i noticed the valve collett on number 2 piston half hanging out and ready to drop so i have pulled the head of and having it looked at, also the cam bearings were showing signs of wear so i will get the cam linished as well. hoping to have it all back on the road by next weekend.

may be wurth looking at if you have a multi valve, lift of the rocker cover and do a visual inspection on your valves.

will keep you ,posted on how it all goes

Hey Tobie
Common apparently.... if the bridge that actuates the valves is not set square...the bridge can also snap apparently if too much tightening torque is put on the adjuster locknuts.

yeh your right andrew, i would be spewin if i put it back together and the miss was from the collett and not the pump and injectors,

any way they were due to be done so i hope once it is all on the road should not have anu dramas,

inspected the bores and they look alright

Hey Tobie,

Who did the pump service for you and what state are you in? My multivalve is needing a pump service soon.

Thanks,

Alec
