Cheaper alternative for Disco alternator?

Hello people
Can anyone till me if there is an alternate alternator to fit a 1994 Disco (Serpentine belt alternator) Ie some thing slightly cheaper than the $450 I have been quoted for a new one?

you should try a "Delco Remy" type. they should ne cheeper then the Bosch.

I paid about $350 ish from our local Autopro....It was a brand new ....ummm....that Italian brand....factory fitted brand anyway...hope that helps

Thanks People,
Haven't been able to find a suitable alternator replacment for the serptine belt version of the rover V8, I had mine rebuilt for $300, however, its still a bit dodgy were the bearing has spun in the rear housing, I guess i will just keep my eyes open for a U/S second hand altenator and replace the rear housing from that.
