Hi guys -

Chasing info on what motors the T176 / T150 jeep box's come behind ?
were these (box's) common in Oz jeeps?

behind 258 inline 6 in early 80's CJ7 and CJ5's

In this era was also a T4 and T5 ( light duty and not the same spec as a T5 from a commowhore)

most common was a T400 auto for the quadratrac's and a T999 with the D300 after 83

why do you want a T176 while a good box not what I would call great but that really depends on what you want to use it for

Thanks for the reply. I am looking at using a T176 bell housing for a np435 conversion. From what I understand they have the same box mounting?

Another question - are they a passenger side slave?
(I've got output shaft clearance issues)

I have a Jeep T5 to Chev bell housing with a passenger side slave if that will help you


effectivly it is a factory ford gear box to chev small bock adapter bellhousing

let me know if it would help you and we can make the right arrangements

a np435 and a holden 202 and your a rangie nut man no-one in their right mind could help you with that :finger:


your going to need adapters no mater which way you do it so why not make your own bell housing or machine an holden one to suit ??
