hilux headlight problem

Post by macklux83 »

hi guys,i just got another steering column for my hilux as mine was worn to buggery, ive put it in but when i try to put the high beams on the stalk wont move forward,i can pull it back and hold them on and the low beams work fine but no go with the high beams. i pulled the wheel off and on the contact where the light lever is there appears to be a small ball bearing in there stopping the stick from moving out.
any ideas what can be done???
cheers

pull the stalk out of the column and than see if the lights work with it not screwed in. if they do than it is something to do with contacts or crushed wire earthing out or something
