What do I build

Post by CWBYUP »

Ok so heres my delema, I have a feroza 92 model 31's and wound up IFS and 3 weeks worth of rego.
I also have ( or will within a week ) a 45s 4L TD cruiser ute with 33's otherwise standard with rego.
And lucky last i have a LWB 1L zuk chassis and ute shell ( nothing else ).

These are what i think my 3 options would be.

1. Cruiser ute- 80s diffs power steer sprun overand 35's.
2. Zuk linked with hilux or 80s diffs and v6 commodore engine ( i need the power )
3. Link the feroza stretch the wheel base and be differant. would end up similar to what i would do to the zuk.

The cruiser is easier but just not sure about such a big truck.

What would you do ? Its gotto be able to be driven on the road so engineering is a must.

Thoughts would be appreciated as i just don't now what to do.

where are you from, why not coil the 80 diffs? itll be more fun, more comfortable and look uber tuff. 40s look awsome with coils
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

I orginally thought that but would like something to drive inside 6 - 12 months.

The other option would be to coil the cruiser and drive the roza while i'm doing it.

Just not sure what to do.

Oh yeah I'm in western sydney.

Keep the cruiser ute so you dont have to stop wheeling
Sell the feroza
Transform the zook into a zooklux :D
Get a car trailer to cart the zooklux behind the cruiser
Because the zooklux will be the most fun to wheel with :D

I just smashed my runner up and am about to get a 60 but was thinking of getting a lwb zook to put the runners gear under it would be a fun light little rig

Anything can be done in 6 months if you got the cash
If you dont have panel damage you ain't trying hard enough

The feroza isn't worth selling :D

The reason i got the roza in the first place was it was $400 with rego and i can just trash it.

I didn't really want to build one from scratch but it sound like an idea.

The roza is good for wheel time as well as being the first 4by i've owned.

Build the zook...

lwb is agood starting platform, just understand the limitations of a light vehicle and small engine.

you'll have more fun than you know what to do with, if you decide to get into a bigger rig you still have the forty to work over l8r... and keep the feroza as an economical daily/family/missus car.

Yeah but i dont really need a daily driver ( joys of working at blueys and having a work ute ). I'm thinking at the moment chop some of the front guards of the 45s for better clearance and drive that.

Once i got a bit of drive time spring it over with 80s diffs and power steer turn the lwb zuk into a buggy and tow it with the cruiser.

Just let the roza run out of rego and sell it cheap.

Thanks for the thoughts

Hey spock,

Not really wanting a touring / tow cat that would only happen if i built the zuk into a buggy.

I just want something that is pretty cappable so i can have some fun without having to get pulled out of everywhere.

At this stage i'm thinking of buying a SWB Zuk 1.3L and just changing it all over into the LWB and drive that and sell the rest once thats done.

Thanks for all the info guys, Now i just have to make up my mind and stick to it.

Then i can't argue with the zook choice... i drive one and conned a m8 into a LWB...

cheap and fun... keep us informed of the build.
