on some carbies like 3y luxy have electric plug,if u swap carbs to no solenoid ,and try to fit another type ,as i have on some wierd weber i found, why wont this work?r they diff voltage do i need resistors?
my other cars an xwgt silver fox custom xr interior go the windsors!

The new carbie should work. Ignore the solenoid wire (fuel cutoff) and tape it out of the way. All it does is to stop the idle jet fuel flow when you turn the engine off to prevent the engine from dieseling on. Some manufacturers also use it to cut the fuel on decelleration for emissions reasons.
