New Toy

Post by MyGQ »

Hi Fellow Nissan addicts.

Well after a scarry roll on the freeway with my poor old maverick, may she rest in peace. Just upgraded (if you can call it that) to a 1992 Nissan Patrol GQ DX model 4.2L Diesel.

At the moment she is stock as a rock, but i have some 7" Suspension equipment to go into her in the next month to get her back to what i had before.

I posted a bit on the site before asking for info on the TD42 engine, and i must admit, the TD42 is magnificent engine so far. Took it home on the F3 and i was amazed how much power it has above 2000RPM, stuck my boot down and it kept accelerating past 110K's

Will see how she goes on 35's when i get a set, but so far i am looking to be a happy camper

Also 242,000K's on a diesel is still pretty good hay? not too run down? its got full history so its looking good on that part.
