ok, so some might remember i took my car to get some GU front bearings put in after having some serious issues with my last mechanic, (amongst other things) and the guy rekons it's not possible. (obviously it is)
But he said if i have something that tells how to do it, he'll do it for free. So, im after some links or something that gives a sort of step by step guide kinda thing of how to do the conversion (if there is such a link)

GU wheel bearings to GQ, step by step
From memory reading your previous post you were having difficulty with the bearings coming loose......... I presume what you're talking about is changing the wheel bearing nuts.....
I have replaced my standard lock nuts on the front axle with the auto locking hub nuts. The nut is circular and has two pin holes to tighten it up with a special tool that can be pretty easily made. It also has a series of tapped holes in it too. Once you have the nut suitably tightened, you slip a locking plate over the top, which you secure to the nut with two small machine screws. The plate has a little tab that engages with the axle shaft and prevents it from spinning on the shaft and keeps the nut tight.
It's basically the same principle as the standard setup, just done in a slightly different fashion.
I can't say for certain if a GU bearing will fit.
Nissan will sell you the bits and pieces, probably $50 worth. The GQs had an auto locking hub on some of the models, which are what you ask for.
I made my tool from a piece of 50x50 RHS and welded a couple of pins to one end of it.

I don't think the Gq bearings are the problem the issue is the alloy locking tabs are very weak when you start running larger tyres on the trucks the bend and allow the locking nuts to loosen off
The GU set up runs two solid steel plates with heaps of holes in them One screws down on the stub axel and you use that to adjust the bearing pressure (the same as the first lock nut on the GQ set up). Then it has another steel plate that slides over the stub axel and slots into the grooves of the stub axel this is held into place buy 2 little phillip head bolts that bolt through the 2nd steel plate into the 1st steel plate which stops it moving in any direction.
The fact that the locking tab is steel makes the set up 100% better
Late model GQ's ran the same set up from the factory
If got this set up on my Gq and it works a treat
