Vic Winch Entrants and Spectators ******

Post by 80diesel4play »

Hi Everyone,

Due to new council rules and appeasing an objector to the event we have to make rules for all for this years event regarding traffic and noise.

YOU CAN ONLY ENTER OLD FUMINA ROAD FROM NOOJEE END ONLY. NO SHORTCUTS - NO BUTTS!!

We will have club members stopping you entering via Neerim North - just follow the signs out to Baw Baw Tourist road and head in the ONE AND ONLY WAY WE ARE ALLOWED.

We will have a water truck keeping the dust down. And there is a Speed limit is 10km/h (its about 1.5km's off the main road so it's not bad)

THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE - COMPETITORS, ENTRANTS AND SPECATATORS, CATERERS - THE LOT!

ALL RUBBISH MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU! No Leaving anything on the property or in the carpark and especially the roadside!

YOU WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY IF YOU SPEED OR BREAK ANY OF THE RULES REALTING TO GETTING INTO THE PROPERTY.

Your co operation will mean the future of events is guarenteed as we need to show responsibility and care for the people and surrounds nearby where we hold events!

We apologise if this is an inconvenience but a 5 minute detour is a small issue compared to what we faced.

Thanks in advance

So the way in is up the hill and then turn left into the property? Is this correct?

I'm going tomorrow to marshal and will be home late tomorrow night so will try to post confirmed directions when I get home. Coming in from Hill End I believe you will turn left into Old Fumina Road a couple of k's before Noojee.

Do you have to be there that early to spectate? Is there any point just turning up after lunch?

Easy directions from the Warragul/Drouin end.
Proceed through Neerim South and Neerim Junction.
Go straight on PAST the Neerim East Road on your right - go down the big hill and head directly into Noojee.
Continue along as if your heading for Mt Baw Baw past Noojee and just before the Torrongo River Bridge is Old Furmina Road.

I'm fairly sure it's going to be signposted for you..

cheers

Just returned from the days competition. Above directions are fairly accurate except that it is the Latrobe River you turn just before. It is signposted with brown signs. Also the gate will be manned from 7am and they are expecting to finish competing by about 2pm. Stages tomorrow look awesome with plenty to watch.

Check out main post on Vic Winch for progressive results after the 9 SS's.
