hilux intercooler/cab lift

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has fitted a top mount intercooler to a 93 hilux diesel? I am going to lift the cab I presume. Whats involved in all that?

come on someones got to have done this before.

You shouldn't have to many troubles....
A few years ago I did a 2" lift on a 95 SR5 and I just did a 2" lift on my current 84 hilux.
The only things I came accros was.

1. had to remove the radiator cowl(95 only)
2. if your fussy you might want to move thr front bumber up to match, I did.
3. the gear shift gets a little tight going into 5th and reverse, i made no mods to it though.
4. check fuel lines and brake lines.

Not to much trouble at all if keeping it to 2", you may come across more troubles if you go higher.

to compensate for this you can either:

- extend the shifters by the desired amount
- or cut out a larger hole in the floorpan.

i extended the shifter, but if i do it again i'm going to cut out a larger hole in the floorpan

Or do a drivetrain lift which will bring your shifters back to same height as they were compared to body and with the right transfer crossmember you can get close to a flat belly.

I may have to do this .. only way I am ever going to have a flat belly again ...
