Wanted: Pics of Vitara Rollbar :)

Post by icekayak »

Looking making a rollbar for my vitara ('90 tintop 3dr), nothing too hardcore just for a bit of security....

Thinking Main hoop and 2 backstays (so 4 point), and debating about how much i need a crossbrace on main hoop vs if i want a rear seat (3dr)

I belive its legal over here as long as its all behind the rear-most seat (ie can't have a rear seat), and I can't have a fullcage easily...

Anyone have pics and details of rollbars in a vitara, and mounting points etc...

i got a six point cage in mine, but its a soft top. middle mounts are just behind the front seats, and rear mounts are at the very back in the corners on the wheel arches. fronts come past the a pillar and through the dash down to the floor near your feet.

the rear points were put at the back of the wheel arches so i still have all my space in the rear for the fridge and spares etc.
there are pics around somewhere. i couldn't be bothered posting them (internet too slow)
