Pretty much anything from 70-85 will fit and work, apart from the manual to power change the bolt pattern is all the same.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

Good idea to get the steering shaft with the rubber cush block and put that in at the same time, if you haven't already got one. I've recently done the same manual to PS conversion on a 74 with no probs. Very straightforward.

I've done the reverse.
I had a 3 bolt that had way too much slop in it.
So swapped it for the manual one I had lying around.

The input shafts are different. The manual has the flexible joint, and the ps one didn't.

Make sure you get all the brackets including the pump brackets.

Mine was quite painful to change, but that's because of the P76 engine, extractors, and oil cooler outlets.

Had to adjust the front rod (steering/track - I don't know it's name) to get the steering wheel centred again.

They are f'n heavy, and messy.

The input shafts are different, but they are interchangeable. The one with the rubber block was introduced to cure vibration and premature steering column bearing wear caused by the slight amount of movement of the body on the chassis through the mounting blocks.

Well I must be insane!
I have one less leak and the car doesn't wander all over the road due to slack steering.
Sorry for being different
