Presentation dinner is included in the entry fee for competitors - dunno about what the cost is for non-competitors though.

Hi Guys

Just spent the last week and a half cleaning the middy up from round 2. Fitted a new heavy duty tail shaft and bigger bolts to hold the rear axles in. These were a problem in round 2 that was created by the new injector pump which was installed. All should be good for this round. Got myself a new navigator so I will be breaking him in - Steve "Hilux" Hudy. This will be the first comp together as will be teamed up for next year and also will be going to Malaysia. The Rangie has risen from the dead. We've got the old girl back running again after the 8 day so where looking to have some fun and kick the Lada's ass this time as it kicked ours up at Rocky. If the talk is true that I hear around the tracks it should be a good line up. I've got myself a new navie for the new truck next year but I thought I'ed better give him a go in the old girl to experience how tough it is to compete in the old bus before he gets treated to the New Nissan.

Saturday night Presentation dinner is a black tie affair. No tie no entry
There will only be racing on Friday night and Saturday, followed by presentation Saturday night... we may have something planned for sunday but will only be fun & games.

Saturday nights RFDS raffle already has some EXTREMELY GREAT prizes stacking up, so make sure you buy plenty of tickets..... you'll be amazed at whats up for grabs... if you can't be there get someone else to buy some for you....
If you would like to donate an item to the raffle please contact me...

Camping will be at "The Gums" as per usual, and we will also be running a
MOONLIGHT THEATRE for the kids (please note, parents will be responsible for children) So make sure they bring along a sleeping bag or something comfy to relax on while watching.... Movies Showing: - Everbody's Hero & In The Wild........

Dinner is available for families & spectators prices are - $13 adults $5 for children, meals supplied by Offroad Catering - Dave & John, and are always beautiful

Hay Sam, i'm not very happy with you, you need to look at the badge on the front of my fourby, a good hard look, it spells t o y o t a. i'm not a 100% shore who did the write up in the dirt comp mag round 2, but it is wrong there too,shame on you girl.

um, ah, um, what can i say, it was maybe a bit of wishful thinking....??? or um...um... well come on, i am blonde u know..... (can i use that as an excuse.... Dirtcomp was me, and i have no idea why i have been referring to your yota as a patrol,

(turn on violin background music) PLEASE FORGIVE ME.... Will have to get a retraction printed, and maybe take out a centrefold apology????? Hey Everyone......

Well that's it for another year of the Qld Winch Challenge..
Congratulations to all the competitors for proving that they are tough enough for the QWC..... To the spectators for coming out and watching the competition and of course the officials for making it all happen... Without you guys we couldn't possibly have such a great event.....
And I think the biggest thank you needs to go to Lance, Mick & Scotty.... These guys are constantly working on ways to make the QWC better for you, and they deserve all the credit for the competition being the success it is......
