Did the cam seize in the head for it to just break ? Sounds weird that it just went snap...........

I Snapped my 1300 Camshaft about 8 months ago. Thats what happens when dad decides thread tape will stop oil leak. No oil siezed the cam, and snap. (most insulted to get towed home by a rodeo).

What caused it to loose oil pressure to the head? Is the bottom end ok?

The oil feed to the head in those engines have a restrictor in them that clogs up real easy. If its not blocked then it may have lost oil pressure to the whole engine, and will just junk your next cylinder head!

Just wouldnt want to see you trash another head dude...........

Not sure what has caused it, bit it is only one of the oil journals (sp?) that has stopped delivering the black stuff - the rest of the cam is/was well lubed! So i am reasonably confident that its just a clogged journal in the head, I'll be surprised and less than impressed if theres issues down further.
If any other part on this engine $hit themself i will be burning the zook! (joking!)
cheers
