tail shaft

moved my front diff forward 40 mm on the weekend now need to get the front tail shaft extended,with the lift and extra travel i need it to be 100mm longer,i rang drive line services today and they said because of its age it will more than likely need new slip joints,400 was the price this seems ridiculously deer can any one recomend some were or ill even extend it myself if i can get some one to balance it,thanks. :?:

Have you considered box section front tail shafts? woulndt think they would ballance but then you only uses them in 4wd.

I just had my rear lengthend - 170$ but the slip was good.

Are you free wheeling? is so who cares about the slip.

Aparrently they cant get a true balance and ive been told this flogs out pinion seal etc,also id like the week link to be the tailshaft,easy to replace than a crown wheel.
