I think corn flour should be ok, if not rice flour will be.

4 packets of cup a soup should work as well, that thickens up my stew when it get s warm !!!!

Thats not a bad idea actually, cause after a day of wheeling once you get to the camp all you would need to do is take the drain plug out stick your bowl underneath and dinner would be served

Has anyone tried putting a corn flour / water mix in the diff? Its a dilatant mixture - gets thicker when subject to sheer. So it will grip when you get large difference in wheel speeds.

mate hand in your key's and licence cos you shouldn't be alloud anywhere near a vehicle at all with those silly ideas, stick to the kitchen with those indregients

OK so the idea is a little half baked .. but unless it is tried .. who knows it may work (if you could somehow seal it inside the hemisphere and keep it away from the CWP .. perhaps a fluid that thickens with power (as in electrical charge) is applied .. no moving parts to wear out, infinately varieable from full open to mild LSD to agressive LSD to fully locked diff.

Now who has the million or two $$ needed for the research .. and who would like to be a tester ..

hahaha...ill be the tester..use my dads 4wd? im always hungry so it will suit me. someone should test it on a petrol powered RC 4wd..

im sure you could set up something similar to rangerover viscouse couplings. But it would cost. I think viscous diffs have been around for some time in some race cars.
