hey guys can anyone help me with making my suspension softer in the back end of my 79 hilux 4 that it is way to hard when your 4wd. and by removing one of the leafs in the springs will that help if so what one.

do you know what springs you have? also what shocks. i changed my shocks ( ranchos) made a big diffrance. i also let my tyres down when off roading.

well i dont no what springs i have they came in the car well i have to put new shocks in so i will give ranchos a shot because i have to do something because when i go 4wd over every bump and my backs wheels come off the ground.
so im up 4 every idea use have to help

Tyre pressure comes into it alot if runnnig 31's go 20psi thats what a mate runs his at and reckons it made a world of differance even helps with traction :idea:

well im running 32s and when im 4wd i mostly run on 30psi so if im running 32 what would be the best psi for 4wd.
and to add to what i said be4 my back spring i dont no what they are all i no is that there heavy duty 2inch lift spring so if i took a life out will the make them lighter

Have a look at your spring pack, if you have an extra thick leaf in there you might have a 'helper leaf' for heavy loads. Yes if you take this out it will make a huge difference. Try running 20+ psi till you find what you like. A way to check you haven't gone too low is to check you tyre pressure cold and hot. There should be about 4 psi difference.
