Just go longfields @ $ 1100 landed for 30 spline chromo cv's and axles there shouldnt be a need to ever get anymore ......but if you go stock ...you'll end up the same cost eventually and a hell of alot of more wrk changing the broken 1's and most ofthe time in a prick of a situation....

but you prob also want to allow for chromo hub gears or chromo drive flanges I have 4 coming at the moment costing $630 aus landed

Or just get the 27 spline chromo cv's only guts has just got some ask what his wrked out at

go the longs my mate snapped a std axle a while ago using 27 spline so it goes to show the strenght in the smaller option previous to that he'd done 11, 2 of with were new and 2 were profields the others i think were just 2nd hand 1's from wreckers and the like. i've broken 1 stock and 2 profields just went longs before i wasted a heap of time and money.
plenty of parts on the bench

You can pick up new aftermarket Hilux CVs for under $100 each – call Toyota if you want a rude shock on genuine ones.

I was enquiring for a mate who fitted locka to the front end, and you know the rest. I let him know how much longfeilds are, he’s thinking putting them in. was told if you get the 30 spline, you can’t unlock the front end, it was recommend to go 27’s?

1 of the pair is still going great. The other 1 however is stuffed after only 5 winch challenge stages. Broke an inner axle (long side) and that damaged the cv making it super stiff :bad-words: . Might be able to pull it down and free it up but haven`t looked at it yet.

Disregard this comment;

I don’t know what my mate was smoking.
Any ways he’s ordered the longfeilds.

if you go aisin hubs.. you'll strip the longfields outer splines when the hub explodes.

They do have hub gears thou.
