2.8 factory turbo psi levels

Post by adamj1300 »

i was just wondering what is the factory turbo psi levels for a 99 GU, is it possible or worth it to turn the psi up, im not so much worried about running the motor, at higher temps or ruining its engine life as i plan for an engine swap in the nest 12 months!

I believe its in the 12psi range, it can be turned up but you will need to add fuel to get more power out of it.

From what I remember...

The turbo pressure should be 0.65 - 0.7 atm. You can increse the pressure by modifing the wastegate actuator lever, making it longer.
BUT: you must remove the "valve pressure fuse device", located on the intake manifold, that is factory set to open to the athmosphere at 0.75 atm.
