Be careful there, the XGT are the upgrade from the 240 blitz and use the same housing as the HID lights, they are however only a halogen light (Your subject implied the XGT's were a HID light!)
That said I fitted XGT's the other week and used them in the bush last nite....very impressed . One of the other guys was running 3 of the HID lightforce units on the front and they were better (sunburn in the dark, as appose daylight in the dark!)
Down here in Oz the HID's are 2.5times more expensive than the XGT's (I paid AU$480 approx 200quid in the old country money!)
I was told the HID Lightforce were AU$1100 EACH

Having spoken to the dealer i would be getting the lights from it would appear that i didnt read the print close enough
Its just the normal XGt's rather than the HIDs which i wrongly presumed they were (ill just go back to being a lurker now )
been thinking about it & the 240's would be easier to fit due to having a high mount bumper which is close to the grill, the XGT's are a bit too deep to fit them so they are behind the front edge of the bumper

Try HID s in your existing lights... I had Cibie Super Oscars with 100w lamps, b----y good lights. Added HID globes (and put the transformaer thingos in behind the grill). They were now awsome lights. Start off with a good refelector and lens (Hella, Cibie etc), adding HID made them so so so so much better, and at minimum cost compared to manufactured HID lights, and they now only draw 35w each!
