Post by nicbeer »

Hey,

Wondering if anyone has used the 7" round headlight replacements from http://www.brightlightautoparts.com/Headlights.html

Wondering how the quality and performance is like. I may be looking a the LED ones for park lights function

They are fine.

Light pattern not quite as good as a Hella/Bosch/Narva kit but shiats all over the standard zook ones with some decent bulbs.

For the $$ they look good. glass lense also.

I bought a set that hopefully would be an upgrade for my Hella inserts. I say dont waste your money. Go down to your autoparts store or ARB and buy a set of hella, Narva, Cibie or IPF. I put my old Hella inserts back in. MUCH better light pattern.

I have fitted quite a few sets here with HID inserts, now they do work well.

Living in the land of bling the overall appearance to my customers is often more important than the performance.

Next time i do a set i'll try and compare them to some hella/narva ones with the same HID globes on my light meter.

BTW

The LED rings can be wired as indicators making life a lot easier when you have a tube bar and limited space on the front of your car.

I found the inserts to be bright, perhaps brighter than the hella inserts however the light pattern is a problem. There seems to be poor control over the light with a very patchy light pattern.

How does the price of these compare the the Hella/narva ones and is it money better spent on a decent pair of spots?

As for my zook, I am doing a rebuild, I do not have any lights at moment, buying a pair off spots also. i have only got spare rectangle lights and not round ones.
