diesel coolant fluid?

Post by Mr. octurbo »

G'day

im new to the world of diesels
seeing that i just brought my self a 4x2 diesel hilux LN85 i was just wondering do you use the same sorta coolant that you use in a petrol or is there speicial diesel coolant fluid.

also while people are here, i was looking for what oil grade i should use, penrite recomends there HPR Diesel (SAE 20W-60) is that ok. ill only use penrite couse my old man has used it on every car/ute he has had without any problems at all.

thanks for the advice since i am inexperianced in the area

Mat.

No diff with coolant.
Just be sure to give the system a good flush before you throw any coolant in. Mixing different coolants is a big no no and can result in a radiator chockers with muddy gunge.
