Todays Effort

Post by klrevo »

finished work about midday today, came home was bored for a bit, and then finally found something to do. Iv fixed paj all up since last time, almost a whole front end rebuild, so im glad about that, and i made some ventilation holes for the fridge in the slide, so thats done. And then, the compressor has been sitting in the garage for a while, doing nothing, couldnt figure out how and where to mount it best. And this is what i ended up with. Looks pretty tidy and tucks in there nice and neat.

thanks hudson,

yeh everything worked out a treat, everything looks really good with it and everything and it blends in really nice with the rest of the back. I, really happy with the way it looks, and its sturdy as, i can move the whole car by hanging off the shelf. The compressor, tank and stuff is from Steve, Hobzee of here and also runs the shop off ebay. I made up the manifold myself, and sourced the circuit breaker, 10m hose, inflator nozzle, pressure switch, and everything myself. Now i just gotta wire it up, and all should be apples :D

hey ado,

the compressor is the Boss 3/4 HP 12V compressor from Boss Air Suspension. They also do a 1/4 HP model im sure. Supplied from Steve, (Hobzee) off here, if you have a search theres a few threads about these compressor. Havent wired it up yet, attempted to cut my finger off at work on chrissy eve with a wine glass, so on compo at the moment.

and yeh shorti, an Ozito buyer.... surprise surprise, its still working, touch wood.

Should be good once its wired up and running.

sorry mate didnt even see that you asked price,

umm....got me thinking now. It was roughly $450 with the compressor, 3L tank, anything up to about 16L tank shouldnt cost any more really. Also came with briaded stainless connecting hose, solenoid, check valave, pressure switch, and all hardware. Just had to buy the wiring, a circuit breaker and mount it pretty much, ohh and made up the manifold and a relief valve for peace of mind.

Hobzee was great to deal with, would highly recommend. Note this was a few months ago and prices may have changed, im not sure. You can pm him on here as Hobzee, or look for boss compressor impressor on ebay.
