mq diesel tacho she no work, Help!!!!!

can somone please help with a wiring diagram or somthing to tell me how the tacho is wired up as me tacho she no work and i i would like it to.

any assistance would be great.......MERRY CHRISTMAS

There have been a few thread on this issue in the last few months.. might be an idea to have a search. I posted a pic in one of them of the resistor near the coil that broke on mine that made the tacho stop.

I didn't know MQ's cme out with a tacho? I know MK's had a tacho option, and if it's the MK then there's a sender on the timing cover....

It's a mk i think by the year model and the head lights but i got a mq by the front leaf springs as they are different.

It apparently works when it feels like, or so the old owner said

number 2 my tacho she no work 84 model mq/k whatever it is its got sqaure headlights sd33 motor once me new motor went in no tacho work

where does the tacho plug in etc pics speak 1000 words if u get my hint

your new motor dos not have the sander unit like your old 1 not all 33 came with it just change front cover with old motor sander unit sits in side of front came cover 1wire comes out no sander no taco

all elec connections on the motor where the same and the motor i got was pulled out of the same year model

what i mant was not all patrols with 33 desiels in them came with the sander unit in the timing cover if the patrol the new motor came from did not have a tacho dash you can bet it dos not have it i have 3 patrols 1 v8 2 are sd33 one has a tacho won dosnt

in front of injection pump there is a sender unit that screws in i think these become faulty, It has a green and a blue wire coming from it, then gors to a connector which follows on with a yellow and black trace wire and a yellow and red trace wire ? i think red but definetly yellow black, and yellow something. get a new sender unit , which a have not done yet but i think this will fix the problem..........
