Snorkel (pics)

Post by qld zook »

Am working on a snorkel for my vit but am doing it in two stages.
made this up last night and am just wondering what people are doing to attach an aftermarket air fillter.

I was thinking of making sealed airbox type of thing around the existing air intake hole and putting a cone type of fillter in that untill i finish the moulding for the snorkel.
Also What does this do\do i need it.
Image
it was in the original air box and appears to control the valve thing to allow hot air off the manifold when cold, But i dont have a pipe connecting them anyway (im in qld and the engine warms up pretty quick) so does it matter.
Any picks would be good thanks
Sorry about the crappy pics camera went for a swim so phone will have to do.

if you want an aftermarket filter to fit inside the stock air box. suzi sport make uni filters that go in there they are around the $60-$80 mark.
