Navara lifts

Post by Newhouse »

One of my mates just bought a 2004 Navara, independant front and leaf rear. Has anyone ever done a lift on one of these and if so what was involved. His ultimate goal is to fit 33inch tyres under it. He isnt worried about flex he just wants it to look good. I suggested to him that all he probably needs to do is put a 2inch body lift in and the tyres should fit?? Any help or sugestions would be greatly apreciated.

Cheers Chris.

2.5" body lift, raise bullbar and remove mudguards.

you may need to massage the inside panel seam with a large hammer :)

I got 33" muddies under my 95 triton dual cab with 1.8" body lift and some panel bashing and 9" grinder to the bullbar after lifting.

i think navaras are a little more lenient in terms of guard clearance!

I have a 2006 str with ARB lift kit (30mm :D ). Upgraded torsion bar, rear leaf springs & 4 x shocks RRP around $1350 fitted)

285's will fit with this lift.

I have been informed Body lifts will void nissan warranty if you care about that.

Calmini do a 3" (?) lift kit with all the above, but also lift blocks fo rthe rear and new arms for the front, believe the kit is around $1,800 (search Calmini on the web for details). The also have a solid axle front end kit available.

We fitted 35's to an 05 Navara with 2" susp and 2" body, with a bit of guard trimming, biggest problem was gear ratios had to be bought from the US and were very $$$. Goes bloody well offroad too with the lokka in the front.

The standard gearing suffered with the bigger tyres, The stock gearing is pretty tall (in the Petrol anyway dunno about the diesel)

Thanks Leeham,

Sound good. Where abouts did you get you kit from? Was there any problems with the body lift? Thanks again.
