G'day
I have standard 16inch triton steel wheels, but they are just a normal factory silver colour. What would I need to do to get them sorted to paint them a nice black! Can I just cut them back with some wet and dry, or will they need to be sand blasted then powder coated????what are my options.
OR
Would it be easier but lots less fun to go shopping and get some 16's that are black as is.....if so whats the brand thats the pick of the bunch.
Thanks
I have decided that I would like to try and find some black sunraysia type wheels straight off the shelf. I have tried searching the net, but keep coming up with classified ads. Any where in Sydney that sells them. I currently run 16's, but will go to 15's for a good price......All help greatly appreciated

Re: Wheels
You could get them powder coated for ~$25 each. Better finish than painting. IIRC they do all the prep for you as a part of the process.tritontray wrote:G'day

George Carlin, an American Comedian said; "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise that half of them are stupider than that".
I rubbed mine back with wet and dry, cleaned with wax and grease remover, then painted with VHT Acrylic Enamel using a few coats.
Have been that way for months now and are still as new... have been in sand, mud, rocks etc.
The prep time determines how good the finish is, and how long it lasts.
Matte Black FTW
