Check the vacum hoses and one way valve that go to the temp sensor for the hot air intake on the top of the air box (thats if it has it). These may have been dislodged or changed when you fitted the snorkel and pod.

If it's injected i'd say that 'one way valve sensor' is your airflow meter. fairly important...qld zook wrote:the vacume hoses have been plumbed into tho air intake but the one way valve sensor thing is going nowere, as i could not figure out a place to but it. do i need it or can i just leave the the it swinging (is it nessesary).
Tetanus rolling on 37's
its not injected just a standard 1.6 carbie vit engine. the only hose that i have not connected to any were is a small vacume type hose that was to control the valve that let hot air off the manifod into the engine when warming up, but as i am in qld my engine warms up quick enough as it is so didnt think i would need it.
Lifted and locked vitara
