what are the best shocks for a 85 lwb mk also what are the best leaf springs thanks for any info

That is hard to answer. Everyone is going to have a different answer.

It seems that Koni are generally a popular choice of shocks.

All I can personally tell you is:
I am currently running sagged standard springs (almost flat) and they flex beautifully, however a bit of a problem if you want some height.
I will be swapping them over to some modified standard LWB MQ springs (I think they are standard) which should give me some extra height over my current springs and be fairly soft.

As far as shocks go... I am currently running Foam cell tough dogs and they are pretty bloody good. But in the future I am going to swap to Fox shocks (12" travel 2.0 pro series) and may also go to modified OME or TD springs or maybe even a custom made spring.
