15" wheels on Gu front diff from 1998 4.5 petrol auto,

Post by shankdogg »

Hi,
i am thinking of getting a Gu front diff for my Gq and wondering if i will be able to fit my 15x8 sunnies or have to go 16"? Also if anyone has a Gu front diff how much$$$

I was offered a Gu front diff from a 1998 Gu auto 4.5 petrol but i have heard that some have bigger calipers and the 15" wheels just wont fit?

Any help will be helpful, Thanks Darren

15" rims should fit. I ran 2 sets of 15"rims on a 99 TD gu wagon and have had no problem with them.

i've got 15" alloys on my gu diff, the clearance on the caliper is tiny, ie. it will foul on the stick on wheels weights.
cheers Pete.

15s wont fit the later models EG 4.8 and later 3.0, and 2002 (I think) on 4.2's as they have bigger brakes.

I have 15 by 8's on my GU 4.5 petrol and they fit fine but alloys will not fit comfortably.
