That's g-h-e-y, Athol.

All you need to do is change the crawl ratio on your zook to something higher than the 3 000,000:1 it seems to be at now :finger:

yep agreed. so as i did in woodpecker i can now use higher gears for more momentum and speed..

the new plan is to use speed & power to slide and bang over objects... see how it goes :?:

Does anyone know the deal with the lazyass mofos at the TTC website. The latest 4wd monthly mentions the urgency to get your votes in cos its the last month to vote (they only had 3 voting sheets?!? ). They also say that " theres only 40 spots to fill and we are already reaching capacity.

Either they are full of crap or More likely they have not updated the website since 1973. If, in fact, they do have more than 40 nominees surely it is a huge advantage to the ones that are already on the site and does not encourage maximum enrties, as late comers will assume they will get no web coverage, and thus no time to obtain votes.

The TTC committee has always been rediculously slow for everything..... im getting very used to it now.....

They absolutely never ever return phone calls.... ive tried to call a few times in the last coupla months to find out some details with regards to rego and engineers etc for ttc07 and always got answering machine and never any return phone calls.....

let not bring up the absolute sloppyness of the way they handled the TTC06 DVD issue.....

the website is just another thing on the list of stuff that they think about doing once a month and dont get around to it.....

but u are right about the massive lack of votes any ppl that are in the 40 that arent on the site if the 40 is nearly full, as they wont get any votes at all.

I would have thought that a professionally run competition like Tuff Truck would have enough sh1t together to return a phonecall. Why should the competitors have to chase and chase to find out details for an event that they are paying big money to be in.

And they are fully aware that this forum exists...why not post up info on here, too.

There are 11 thousand plus members here, afterall.

Hi All

IF you have say you had a problem with phone calls back, most of you are on the net more than phone...shot a email thru, altho most of the competitors do have direct numbers to at least on of the Tuff truck committee members.

The rules for 2007 are listed on the our web site, the website is update upto 5 times a week, depending on the mail we recieve.

If anyone here would like any information regarding the competition side of the event PM me, and I will call you back as soon as I possibley can

There is not one single piece of information on any competitor. All we know is their team name. It says click team name for profile. Not one team name can be clicked on???

http://www.tufftruck.com.au/currentcompetitors.html

Its great that they are updating with team names but your not giving anyone a fair chance when no-one can view their profiles. Take Team 26, Team Hazzard as an example. Ive never heard of either of these guys, I know nothing about them, Possibly they have the best rig ever built but if all i can see is their name and a bad size pic of their rig then i still know nothing about them. Its all good for the teams that have entered before because they are generaly well known but its totaly unfair for the guys who are paying good money to enter this comp and are getting very little support from the team at Tuff Events.

Have you been able to click on profiles in previous years? As we have been wondering. We have been a spectator for many years so this is all new to us. But very exciting as well.

As for team 26, Brad is from Mudgee NSW and has competed in the Nissan Trials, Woodpecker and Black Rat just to name a few, placed well too. Good bloke. Sorry if I'm being forward here.

If I remember correctly, Last year you could click on some of the profiles. (The Peter A's and the likes... not the unknown guys..)

I don't mean to sound rude (but I will anyway)

There seems to be a lot of money going into tuff truck, but as ruff said, not a lot of support for the little guys competing.

Having said that I still love tuff truck, but it seems a little too un-organised...

Yes you have been able to check profiles in the past. Well as MFN said at least some of them. It was a little hit and miss in the closing days last year.

As i said team 26 was just an example. I actually think i know Paul Nadin. Or at least the name rings a bell. But they are not the well known teams that are only getting points because people know who and what they are voting for.

not sure whats doing at the moment with me mate but competing or not i will be leaving brisbane sometime we might be able to do something
Sounds good Bartso.....will organise something closer to the date....I'll be going down with Bundymonkey (and the missus's) in his parents stock Prado.....which will be a lot cheaper than taking the Lexus V8 trucks down.
we will be leaving on Thursday morning at this stage Twisty..two cars... mine towing Bartsos POS and Jasons towing the camper trailer most likely with the 44 Boggers strapped to it..

not too keen on driving through the night and being stuffed on Friday

im going too.. not missing it this year.. so twisty when is it?
ill follow yas down.

Thanks for that. I thought it strange that some of the well known names like Chad and Phil (sorry guys) may have had more votes as they are known. Mmmm. But it is the silly season things will probly change.

redzook is right, they might not get over 40 entering, so the voting probably dosnt matter, but you should be able to look at the team profiles as in years past.

i want to read about the Paj!

just a suggestion, if anyone is listening or takes notice. The voting is very limited, being only the original forms from 3 issues of 4WDM. some people dont buy the mag, and not everyone has the inclination to post a form in.
there would be alot more votes if you could do it online on the TT website.

I agree. Voting should be on the TTC website.

I think the only reason they arent doing that is because even if they make it so you can only use the email address you enter once....everyone will just get all there friends to add votes....

what they need to do is look at possibly having to be a member of the website and enter the member number to vote.....
but there would definatly be more voting in that scenario.....

I think the cost has come down to an acceptable level... $600 is alot... but its alot better than it used to be and its also quite affordable now.... i spose for that sort of money you would expect your profile and everything to be up on the website for ppl to read up on....
im interested in the Paj as well ;)

Bingo!

I'd just like to be able to get a bit more background information so I know what kinda work and detail I'm watching at the event.
