Including or not including body lifts. Most custom jobs only lift a few inches. RBZOOK has only 3 inch lift in his springs.Chopzuki didnt have much either.

like why would you like only do a like custom coil conversion (and that is alot of work) to fit like 31" tyres when you can fit them to a leafy with like 2" lift

You can get leaves to work quite well without anywhere near the hassle of doing a coil conversion.

Bear in mind that a coil conversion will require an engineers report for registration purposes.

doesn't coil suspension react to un even ground quicker? cant u get more flex out of coils in ratio to the height gained to the size of the lift? if u stayed with leafs do u need to get like custom leafs to articulate close to coils? and don't u need to put long leafs in the front at least so wouldn't that need a engineers report anyway?

to run 31s all u will need is 2 inch spring and maybey a BL or chop the guards a little.

this will keep the COD fairly low. and not that much work.

to convert a leaf sprung vehicle to coil is a very involved process. A lot needs to be modified and to do all that work to run a 31" tyre is not going to be worthwhile. You can get leaf springs to flex and handle very well at that sort of lift height.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? is your current setup not working or is current driving skill not up to the type of terrain you are driving? Maybe you need gearing to slow everything down so the car isn't bouncing around as much. Alot of variables and alot of things can be done before going to a fully custom suspension system that will require alot of $$$$ to pass engineering.

are you saying it will be cheaper to do (COD Cost of Delivery) or did you mean COG - (Centre of Gravity) because both are applicable

my car at the moment is my daily drive but probaly buying a late 80 soon. so when i get in i was thinking of making my sierra alot more comfortable and might change the engine mainly for fast sand driving. A coiled sierra would be nice but my mechanic said they crap as if they were made a different country. i am in my third year of a fitting turning apprenticeship. at the moment it is super ruff and u drive for two hours down a track and nearly die shaking.

If you want a less crappy ride go and buy the cheapest shocks you can find for your Zuk. Something like AC Delco's etc. Replace your spring rubbers as well. You will be surprised at the difference it makes. As for fast sand driving in a Zuk, do yourself a favour and don't. You'll either crash and burn or worse maim a passenger or innocent bystander. Stick with leaf springs, they're betterer :D

yeah i guess so but speed in dunes would be so fun i could beet big cars then easy. and it makes the beaches shorter. my car seems quite slow at the moment. it goes good when it is soft but when it is like medium i always get left behind even a triton diesel non turbo can go faster.

that has nothing to do with the springs and to do with the engine. You do not want to to do high speeds anywhere in a SWB Sierra as they become very unstable. If you want high speed beach stuff then you need a vehicle designed to do this

You don't by a sierra for speed! LOL! I haven't had my zook in sand but i have been sand driving and i don't think a swb zook would turn too well in the sand doing 60k's (well it would but on it's lid!) Mines bad enough going around a round about at 50! with no sway bar but i didn't by it to go fast!

Mate, a SWB zook isnt going to be comfortable to ride in on rough tracks at that speed. The WB is to short and it will ptich. And really, is that safe. You zook aint going to last long doing that to it. Leaves can be made to flex well, ride well, are cheap and easy to work with. Coils work great, but for 31's it is way to much work.
