witch ones are the best does anyone actully now, I own a mk patrol and just about to fork out for new shocks,dampner and leafs I was thinking koni shocks ordered from melbourne they said that they would custom make them if they had to ,with leafs made by carrolls springs in sydney there are a couple of kits avilable from OME but I dont no that much about them all i no is i want a two inch lift and to be strong and i dont mind spendding more if they are quality

btw my mates car has just shot 3 koni shocks in 1 trip

Depends on your budget. I bought Koni adjustables second hand for my Rangie with about 10K on them for $200 a set . Have penty of life left in them and ride superbly on and off-road (on the softest setting).
They don't set the wheel travel ramp on fire but get the job done without any issues

Why not go for the pro comp's there a good enough shocky at the rite price and available in all sorts of lengths ...
The koni's are a great shock so are bilstiens but they all break the same and id rather break 120 buck shocks rather than 200 buck jobbies any way if your guna use ya truck hard off road ...
all comes down to what you want to use the veh for if you were touring yeah go the konis then take em off n stash em and put the cheapies on for the ruf stuff ..

best post i seen for a long time why break konis when you can break cheaper shocks
by the way theres 2 stuffed konis in the shed right now they wont even compress

On a leafsprung truck like yours, I would just fit the cheapest shocks you can find which are not so stiff that they stuff the ride. IMHO, unless you've got parabolics you are only going to get value out of better shocks with a coil sprung vehicle as the friction between the leaves does half the work of a shock anyway.

I think you could better spend money elsewhere. I personally if money wasn't a real problem I would go Edelbrocks before Koni. As with some Koni's & Bilstein, Edelbrocks are rebuildable so the extra money has benefits in that respect.
As much as I am NOT a fan of Procomps, in your situation they would be my pick.
