vitara heating up????

Post by mroffroader »

Hey there this is kind of like the thread "dodgy guages", i have just done (on my 16v vitara) the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap etc to stop my little over heating issue. I went wheeling the other day and i started to get hot again this i know was becuase there was a garden growing in my radiator and not enough airflow (on the drive home she was cool as) but what happend as she got hot and started to piss steam out of the overflow pipe (this is quite hot  ) and my problem is that the temprature guage still showed normal temp.!! :bad-words: is this just the temp sender that needs replacing? maybe i have cooked it because of multiple overheatings?

sorry if its a stupid question

if in doubt replace the temp sender, cheaper than replacing the motor!
