g16b half cut

hi guys,
im after a half cut for the 1.6 16v efi vitara!
first question is the engine number? is it definatley the G16B?
Secondly could any1 that knows the websites for people that supply these halfcuts in aus please post em up. im located in perth but dont mind freighting items interstate if need be.

your help will be appreciated,

Cool, another perthie doing the conversion.

Justjap in syd is where i got mine. cost about 1600 + 500ish for freighting with northline door-door.

Engine no. usually is a G16A but still mpfi 16v. Jap imports are slightly different for this.

hey nic, will look into justjap. Do you know their website or phone number?
did u do a gearbox conversion as well? or just hooked him up to the 5 speed? u being in perth also would mean that u could help me do the conversion for small fee wouldn't it???? ;) :P :P

as for that v8, it does look fun but not really good for wat i wanna do! but man for $2500 it is tempting! lol

I KNOW! i would buy it, but it defetes the purpose of have a light wieght 4x4, the v8 would make it way to heavy at the front. But Fark i think its cheap with a mod plate and all! would be fun to buy and drive to work and back. Do big line lockers and everyone would look at you like WHAT THE HELL :lol: :lol: apart from you would snap a axle every week. lol

Yep should be able to help out where i can with the conversion.

I got the gbox adapter from BenT on the forum. inc engine mount adapter as well.

thanks mate i might take you up on that offer!
i live down in bertram/kwinanna area but i dont mind going for a drive every now and then so i will come and have a look when i eventually get time off!

also any of you boys or girls over here in perth know of any1 that rents out power shed sites???? i know its a long shot but i literrally have no room, carport or yard wise to do anything atm :( :(

sorry 1 more thing, any1 done this conversion usuing the auto box? just curious as it would be easier going offroad ith an auto behind it me thinks....? thoughts??

I was thinking about it, but it would be a headache to get rego'ed in another State/territory….

No worries, mines getting done in my carport. can fit 4 cars there so got just enought space.

The autos are quite big when looking at them and would have to get gears for it i am guessing.

Isn't the transfer attached to the gearbox in Vitaras
I think you might run into rear drive shaft issues (too short or too steep)
