I got a new Nissan Navara D22 DX single cab, took it up the North Shore for the first time yesterday. Itr has 6.5inch stock wheels and skinny tyres and i found it hard to get through the softer stuff up towards Double Island point. So i let some air out of the tyres and it made a bit of difference.
Do you think some wider tyres on 8 inch rims would make it a better beach driver?

Re: Tyre questions?
4give me if I misread, but it sounds like you tried to drive on sand with road pressures, had trouble, so dropped SOME of the air out? Try dropping them more.mjc85 wrote:I got a new Nissan Navara D22 DX single cab, took it up the North Shore for the first time yesterday. I wouldn't bother buying new tyres till I was getting stuck with 10psi in the current ones. And i've got skinny-ish tyres, and pretty sure my Rocky would be heavier than a navara, and a hell of alot less powerfull
