Does anyone in Perth fabricate roll cages?
Hi All,
I'm trying to find someone in Perth to fabricate a roll cage for my FJ40. It's proving harder than I thought as most people only make the aluminium roll bars which are for show more than protection. A guy at Alloy Performance Racing in Osbourne Park has said he can do it but from the conversation he seemed more geared to making aluminium roll bars. Depending on cost I'd prefer a six point cage that has supports around the front screen as well as the hoop behind your head.
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers, Phil

hey dirt,
as nicbear said these guys both carry cold draw steel, but I didnt know they built cages.
from memory there is a shop in morley that does them 2. I ended up buying the tubing and bending it up myself (saved heaps).
PS did you ask the guys at avon 4wd center about this a while ago??
Regards

Tried the yellow pages gig for ages but no takers. With all the mining there are hundreds of fabricators but I guess there's too much money doing other stuff at the moment. I don't remember asking avon 4wd but I've asked loads of people so it could have been me.RockyF70 wrote:Yellowpages search for metal fabrication shops/ sheetmetal joints. Ring around and ask.
Thanks Nicbeer, I'll give the companies you mention a call tomorrow to see what they say.
I'll also try Cass Jones if I can find him (not in WP or YP)
Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know how I go. Someone I know mentioned $4k so if it's going to be this much I might consider getting a tube bender and teaching myself.
Cheers, Phil
