whats involved in putting 1" extended shackles in sierra 94 model?
is there much time in doing it.

also found some rims :!: f150 offset. cant remember what offset he said they were do you reckon they wud fit straight on without problems? have two inch suspension lift.
380$$ whith tires basicly bran new. dont know much on price so does the price sound right?? :armsup:

as a basic vechile, you are aware extended shackles are illegal, in qld as far as i am aware, if you elese wher ein oz check local rules.

The thing to check are brake lines, the drive shaft still line up okay, you have enought travel in shocks, so they dont bottom out.

think that is about it. others will give their 2 cents.

easy to make , 2 bits of bar.

I have a 86 narrow track with 2 " spring and 1" extended shackles( really 2 inch exted but only lifts the car an inch1) and ever thing still go's well!

$10 and an hour is all it takes!

After you have made them all you have to do is take the old ones out and then bolt the new one's in! 1 bolt at the top one bolt at the bottom and your in bussines!

There is another thread at the moment on extended shackles you might want to check that out!

may also want to check the f150 rims also as i dont think they came in 5 stud with right centre size hole but never know.

There are deffinatly some f150 rims that fit! It's not a one person job to put extended shackles on! You need to jack the spring back into place and line the holes for the bolts up! It's a 2 person job for sure!

BUT when you have done the first one it's easy as! :cool:

What The???

I just jack up the vehicle untill there's not weight on the springs and remove the old shackles then just adjust the height until it matches the new shackles. All up all 4 shackles replaced in about 30min including a couple of beers. Do it while the Misses watches Neighbours or something pointless.

MY shackles were pretty tight and the bushes were new if that makes a difference!

It's alright it's done now!

Just take it easy, Pete was simply reading your post and assumed that you may not have the mechanical knowledge to do this job SAFELY on your own.

Everyone has to learn somehow and you're better off taking advice of people with the expirence.

BTW Pete has a little bit of expirence with zooks. :lol: and is not just a web wheeler.

f150 rims are 5stud and do fit zooks and have a good offset! but cj5 rims give an even bigger offset
