I have just purchased my first lancruiser I have heard of people turboing 4.5 80s cruiser this sounds like fun anyone with any info about manifolds turbo etc.
Hey...AVO do a kit for the 4.5 which is a ball tearer, but 7.5k....safari used to do a kit, which i had on my last cruiser, it was like driving a 3t wrx....no comparison to the torquey std motor, the turbo made mine spin wheels under acceleration in first (auto) once 5000rpm (240 kw) was reached on the tacho....80-120km overtaking happened in the length of a semi in second gear...FUN to drive, not so fun to fill up premium unleaded.
If your still interested, i have a few parts left over from two kits i made one out of....like the exhaust manifold, computer, pipework, intercooler etc.
