Reseting leaf springs

The leaves in the cruiser are getting a bit tried, so I have looked at getting a new set, but the $$ have me lloking at restting the old springs. Has anybody had their springs reset. If so what was the cost and was it any good, or was it too harsh, or did it sag.

I have had resets done a number of times with good results. Make sure the place doing them re-tempers them after resetting, as it helps them hold the new camber.

Cost was $66-$100 a pair (removed from vehicle) depending on number of leaves. Probably more now though.

I am in adelaide..

I did do a search prior to posting but could'nt find all that much info (3 topics).

Quite some time ago I tried having leaves reset in Toowoomba. They sagged quickly and was not worth the time and effort. I would not recommend it. Best to just get a new set, may pay more but you get what you pay for....

I used to cold reset the springs on my Zuk in a normal press. They held up as well as new leaves in my application.
Cost was time and a press .. :D

No - I always used Bayside Springs.

Stinger - my experiences are the exact opposite - my oldest pair of resets were done over 10 years ago, and they are still holding up fine - despite lots of abuse offroad. It depends on the quality of the steel and if the just do a cold reset or temper afterwards.

I .. destroyed mine well before that ever happened, I used to end up making the spings S (SPOA, 33s pr 35's and no wrap bar on the Zuk)
But I found ofr the $$ it worked easily as well and lasted just as lomg as aftermarket springs.

The best riding, longest lasting and flexing springs I ever used were a set of brand new genuine suzuki leaves reset by Belkin for a 50mm lift with one additional full length leaf added.

brown`s sprin works p/l in thomastown did our hilux springs and there holding up great highly recommended.
