heard a lot of reports about this comp and the organisation involved (or lack of it) with regard to recoveries etc as well as the "slapped together" track...not the best way to encourage people to your "entry level comp"....

and also to the Miss Perfect with the best car with the best paintjob blah blah blah(not mentioning any names R0M@n@) next time you are going to bad mouth someone elses work/car dont do it near their parents and also make sure you actually know the difference between a forwards gear and reverse  :finger:

on a whole i think most competitors had a good time. yeah we had a few issues on track 2 and had to can the track because people were breaking too much so we set up another track which ran through fine.

we did the best we could under the circumstances.

scott did jump in to help out with a recovery and broke his transfer case which was not good so a replacement has been organised .

thanks to all the officials who put in so much time and effort if it wasnt for you guys we wouldnt have an event at all .
thanks to jan and owen for letting us use there park once again and to all their helpers chris and wayne etc .the meals were awesome.

i had a great weekend and managed to finish all three tracks ... didn't finish the original track two and i thought it was a good decision to cancel that track as it was too hard to get broken cars out... [and managed to finish the revised track two] which was a very technical course.
we had a near perfect run on it except i parked on top of the start cone ...
doh  copped 200points as soon as we started

theres a series of ten pic in the next post from track one .... enjoy :D

Hey Rolly if this is the case then someone should get in contact with Scott and let him know the damaged items will be replaced because i spoke with him late yesterday and he was pretty upset with the whole thing. As far as he was aware Tuff Tracks wanted nothing to do with the damage.

not to mention his rear disconnect ($$$$$) and the fact that he was actually leading the comp as well wasnt he....

hopefully tough tracks club will see that he really did get the raw end of the deal with that..

I had a great time :D Was very pleased with the zook on track 2. Shame about track 3 but (cv let go just before the 100 point marker)

The MQ did have a bad roll over  - driver ok though!!! Think he needs a new cab. I am sure someone who actually saw it will give more info. I just saw the recovery

Thanks to the officals and organisers - another great comp (great to see some new zooks getting around as well) :D

Not everyone was happy with the decision to close track 2. The track was only difficult for the big trucks, not the little ones. It seems that the comp favours the big trucks, making it unfair to the likes of the Zukes. Some of our boys did the track after the events were finished and got to the top without a problem. Track 3 didn't favour the little rigs, but they still gave it a go.

That's my whinge from my point of view. Can't speak for the other members of ZOH.

the track was closed because we only had 5 cars attempt it and they all broke in the track (except for big red) and it took us 4 hrs.
when are people going to realise we dont care what vehicle you drive it is how you drive it . we made the track with a patrol ute and drove through without a problem also.
turn up on the next track building weekend and have some input.

some of the best drives on the weekend were from the new guys .

evan in the red hilux
brady in the red gq
daniel in the white hilux
craig in the v8 suzi
----? in black lwb suzi

cheers brett

As one of the officials and a committee members of this club, I would like to mention a few things.

Please take into account that before you start to critiscise the club and the operations of it, that ALL the committee members contribute there time and efforts VOLUNTARILY. The tracks have been built with the direction of those who ATTEND on track building weekends again voluntarily.

If you are not happy with an issue and you are a competitor, pay your $20.00 and lodge a written protest.

If these people did not give YOU their time there would be NO COMPETITION for you to compete in.

The decision to close track 2 was not to disavantage anyone, it was a decission that was made because it was proving to be a very difficult track to recover broken competitors vehicles from, damaging the recovery vehicles that were in place and the ones called on to help.

If anyone thinks they can do a better job, we welcome you to come and give your input at a club meeting.

Just a pitty dan s White lux didn't make the 2nd track just forgot to throw compresor switch for rear locker he'd be up in a flash and he's pissed about it, But these things happen i've got pic's pf him making it up and then when the 3rd track was running drove the 2nd one not a drama 2nd attemptat the 2 rock step and idled up the end rock ledge (would have feed it to it in comp for croud) so might try get a cage in it for cruiser event in may?

I'm sorry if i offended you, and I don't know who you are but I know that every single person at every single event has an opinion and when you stand and spectate and listen to everyone, if you get upset over what they say then there is something wrong, because it is called life and it doesn't stop. And yes I am very proud of my car and very lucky to have such wonderful people to help me do what i enjoy most. As for the Tough Tracks event - i love it and it doesn't matter what event it is - no-one can ever please everyone. Again, i am sorry that I have offended you. And yes I did go in reverse and I was not happy with myself, but thems the breaks and believe you me - i know I'm not little Miss Perfect

OK for my two cents worth, First of all like to say excellent weekend it was again a very close comp, two small mistakes cost us third overall for the weekend but hey there are two more rounds can't wait. Secondly like to say thanks for the people out there that get in and help with the organisation of it , they do it for free and they go out of there way to actually hold this event, so for the people out there that actually can sit on this forum and bitch and winge about it all you should be ashamed of your self. Why? because i can't see you do better and if you can show us and prove it then we might think differently.

Also, The tracks out there that are made, Drive the frigin things!, if you where not involved with the track making, you have no right to abuse the people that go out of there way to make them. I can't really understand how people can say that the tracks are made for one type of vehicle, i bet you would drive those sought of tracks that where weekend if you went on a club trip or something, so the idea of a 4wd comp is to nut it out and drive it! that's why you have navi's and i tell you what i tip my hat to the navi's as well.

As they say S@#T happens, good driving to all and see you all at LCMP!

Just for the record, I think this was one of the better organised events I personally have been to. Everything ran on time and the officials actually made sure that vehicles that were damaged were safe to continue competing. It was great to see.

As for the track change, it was done very smoothly without much disruption to the day. My apologies to anyone who doesn't agree with my previous statements. Like eveyone else on here, I am simply voicing my opinion as we are all entitled. I certainly don't expect anyone to agree with me.
