I'm on the floor laughing my arse off !! comment made "as older competitors dont use the net" yeah we still have PIGEON'S for communication!! Nahhh on the serious note most of them do use the net to keep tab's on things and ring one another alot too. Not sure how many vehicle's can run at one time on this track or will it be capped. But as far as advertisment goes you'll be surprised how many already know about this event as i've received heaps of calls from my mates/freinds/ acquaintance's from up north ,but alot of them just want to come down and be a spectator. As far as sponsor's go?? well you'll be surpriced who goes to these events around OZ and watch one drive, i've been out to the "SENIC RIM ADVENTURE PARK" the last three event and enjoyed my self just spectating and must say i take my hat off to Bredon and his team and all who helped out to make these events possible, and what a great bunch of vehicle's in all stages and great driver's and navi's there are, yes some whinge and bitch but thats life, still all a great team, and remember there could be a future sponor watching you!! will be there and good luck all.

Yes you can winch and crawl through the creek in fact you can take any line you want when your on the track as long as its going forward.

I have finialised the first draft of the rules and have sent it off to some competitors for comment. Sorry I'm not posting it as I know I'll get lots of helpful suggestions but I would like to put the rules up once and that is it.

Now for the rocks. I haven't got a photo of the top track yet but this is a sample.

Image

I have a DVD of some of the track so ill try and reduce it.

Hell Yeh i'm excited i think this comp is gunna rock, i havent been able to pull myself away from the computer the last cuple of days you no how to build suspence i will give you that. Looking forward to seeing your rules and regs and some more pix keep em coming!!

Hmmm, well it was Grimace who introduced me to King of the Hammers, in fact I have his DVD's. You're still cut because I told you that you would have to winch everywhere. I'm sorry Dave I will give you a hug next time I see you.

It looks like Brenden has made it so if you pick the right lines you won't have to winch. I am only speculating we will find out New Years Eve.

We have been telling Grimace to come to the park for ages and he never did. As soon as we said we were going to Scenic Rimming ;) He was keen as all hell.
Thought there was a bit of man on man action in front of a good view or something.

Shane the Name sucks dude.

So does haul and crawl. They are both seppo related.

Brenden is very focused on putting his radiator in the back of his 75 Series but he mentioned last night that he was thinking of May. I have put some updates in the first post.

Brenden has written the rules and I am very happy with them. I would say that they will be up in the next day or so.

We are changing the name, I just don't know what to yet. What about Rim Queen? :?

I don't think we will need to cap it for the first event although it does depend on how many competitors that are interested. I am sure that once everything is set in concrete Brenden will start a page on the Scenic Rim web site dedicated to registering for the event. It will become obvious to us how many vehicles it needs to be capped at once we race the first time.

Edit: Deleted some stuff.

Another rule change we will most likely do is not allow runners or Navs that don't ride in the vehicles. Therefore if a single seater buggy needs to winch they have to do it themselves. If they get stuck in the middle of the track and others can't get around they will get help from the competitors.

That doesnt sound right????
Why should everyone else and thier navi assist someone with out a navi?

Also did the rules have a forward facing white light and a rear facing red light for safety?
i got nothin

I have edited that post, I don't think Brenden was listening to what I said this morning. My idea was to disadvantage the single seaters by not giving them a Nav so they have to winch themselves.

Why would you do that? They are allready at a Dis-advantage. They do not have a navigator in the car at all times. Why do they need to be dis-advantaged? I thought this event was a one class event?

So now you are planning on giving everyone else the option to run with 2 navigators that can also take turns driving and make the single seat competitors run the entire event on their own :?:

I personally didn't want to see single seater buggies dominate but it doesn't matter now because Brenden has the final say on the rules and has decided to stick to his original plan that they can have runners/Navigators.

As long as the single seater buggy navies have to run the entire course :finger:

Sounds like the two seater navies will have it alot tuffer,as they have get in and out aswell as be punished by the terrain in the car,not just sit and wait for their single seat buggy to come back.
or
maybe they should do push ups while they wait. :finger:

 They will be fit after 10 hours. I bet they get stuck when the Nav is 2km away.

Brenden might cap it at 40 vehicles for now.

There should be more vehicles capable of competing now Brenden has softened the course by running the bypass track around the harder rock section. They will just have to winch.

Are you coming out tomorrow arvo? It appears that Brenden has softened it up a bit and the harder bits will be the creek you walked.
