Hey robzuk, you've seen my car up close and personal, do you think it would go ok in something like this or am i dreaming?
I would not say your dreaming. If you think you could drive all the coases at Toperi challenge then you should be ok with Rockpecker. As for the level of dificulty, IMO I would have to say they are very much alike. :)

Hey Nashey, Shaun here, we have just finished fitting an exo cage in preparation for TT 2012 so we now comply are are keen to do your event. We would be coming from Sydney/Lithgow and are trying to work out if it's necessary to take time off work on either the Friday or Monday.
We are wondering what time do you intend starting on the Saturday, and roughly what time do you hope to finish on the Sunday?

good day Shaun if we get the numbers to run the event we may run a short stage on Friday night and start Saturday about 8.30 this should enable us to finish the event about lunch time Sunday all going well. Would be interested in your comments and anyone else if they have a view.

If you run a Friday night event it makes it pretty much necessary for anyone coming from Sydney to take day, or least half a day, off work to get there in time.
It depends on where the bulk of your entrants are coming from. We would prefer to leave at say 2am and lob up by 7/8am for briefing.
We can probly make it work no matter what you do so dont change things to suit us.

At this stage its only a possibility, we are trying to make it finish about lunch time Sunday to enable those traveling back to Sydney and beyond to get back in a reasonable time. The club will make a final decision when we know we have the numbers. For anyone intending to enter you only have until the end of the month to get the entries in. the property is about 50 minutes south of Canberra and Canberra is about 2.5 to 3 hours south of Sydney. You can bypass Canberra by using Majura road which takes you past the air port and onto the Monaro Highway.

We all need to book a day off work. This will depend on whether you do the night event if it's the Friday or Monday so if you let us know when you can.

We are looking forward to it Nashey as I have good things from numerous people about the wheelin at your place.

So how is it looking Chris?? Do you have the numbers to run this comp yet???

I heard that if you dont get the numbers this time, then Brindabella Ranges 4WD Club will never try to run a comp again.
It would be a shame to see those great tracks go to waste.

seems everyone leaves things to the last minute, entries close at the end of the month and unfortunately we wont know until then. the club will then decide and look at what other options are available. We would be interested in why so many expressed a positive interested at the beginning and have failed to enter , we would like some feed back

Thank for the positive feed back people we will take them on board and keep them coming. As for compulsory roll cages I was involved in a front end over roll over at Mudgee on the long weekend and without a roll cage I would be three feet shorter and possible dead. As an event organizer I would rather not hold an event than spend time talking to the coroner.

Hi all, bad news and good news. Bad news: unfortunately we still fell short of the required entries to cover costs to run the event next month (July). Good news: Due to positive feedback from both Outerlimits and personal contact the Club has decided to change the event date and the format. This change will include all tucks that comply with Tuff Truck regulations. It will still be a team event (i.e, two vehicles per team) and you will not be required to be a member of a club to participate.

The new date is September 16, 17 and 18 2011. There will be two night stages similar to Tuff Trucks, without the mud! Entries will close on August 15 2011. In the fairness to our sponsors we encourage teams to enter EARLY.

One stipulation is that two buggy style vehicles cannot compete together as a team (i.e, one buggy and one convention vehicle). If anyone wishes to enter and cannot find a team mate, send an email to c.c.nash@bigpond.com and will try and match you up with someone.

As the new date is six months out from Tuff Trucks it’s an ideal time to test your truck as well as compete in what we hope will be an annual event.
