I've got MT117 Extremes and apart from the undersize issue I'm VERY impressed with their performance.
Grip in mud and clay is awesome. I can stop on slimy greasy downhills that others slide down.
Grip on rock is great, better than any other tyre I've had but wet rock is average.
Mine are on a Zook and are wearing better than expected.
Even on sand they are OK.
Overall I'm happy.

33's ... and there all around 31.5
I'll be buying km2's next
Well you will be seriously dissapointed with them or you have currently got the wrong type of tyre for the driving you do!
The MT117 is a serious mud tyre compared to the BFG that is really an all round general purpuse tyre. Sure the Xtreme may be small so buy the size that is what you want?
You really can't compare the Xtreme with an radial tyre fairly. A Simex, Swamper, etc is comparable.

We have been selling these for some time now.
Our last batch of 33"s were under sized and they have all been recalled.
We haven't seen any other issues with quality or with the sizing of the other sizes.

From a distance or if you have never driven on them, then you'd be right. But I've done comps on both and the Silverstone is a far more aggressive tyre. It digs much better and on hard wet clay it doesn't have an equal. But this is at the expense of soft ground performance. Wet soft mud then it digs holes and goes down rather than foward.
In comparison the Simex is a compromise between ultimate performace in one area at the expense of all others.
Having used both I am now using Simex as it suits the differing terrains we race on. In some places the Silverstone will totally kick our arse but in not many and the dissadvantage is greater than the advamtage.
Both are very good tyres, you just need to get what suits.
