okay, im back form tuff truck, and i can say it is an awsome event, now a few points id likem to make,

I agree with the lack of Bins, there were 4 thesis bins or what ever they were called, but they filled up early and were only placed around the camping area,
Mud run was late, blamed on audio visual technicalities, i say bull shit, there was a severe lack of spectator space, i was queing area, they had a mound so it was limiting the view, but was still better than seeing less form a hundred rows back,
Recoverys by the TLCC/TRACTOR crew at all the events were far beter than my experience from nissan trials,
other than that, meeting OL members, having a few cans, and chatting away was great,

anyone that sat around the fire on sunday night with the Krawler Kustom boys, the Cheezy racing boys, Hypo and his missus, and the other ring ins, please dont forget,
Bathing the Dog
Stuffing
and Docking
and the few other discusting stories mentioned, they are keepers,

He sent me a sms today asking me if I had washed the dogs  I should have docked him  This was the second best thing the whole weekend for me.

First best was once we broke the arse end and decided our chances of getting up on our then 4th placing was over we set about drinikng 4 slabs of jimy cans (started at 11am, finished at 1am, between 4 of us) and became some of the biggest and loudest yobbos  I was however saddened that we were the only ones calling the "nancy wire" line :D I even got to call ruff a nancy wire Hmm :D

Now just for the record we did not winch all weekend and cheezy knew I was just going to sit on the closest rock if he called winch it

We ended up finishing in 7th place and didn`t even get to give the rocky horror a go as the mav had no arse end. After a controll arm braking the rear diff proceded to rotate and took out the rear pinion, then BOTH!!!!!!! coilovers

FFFAARKK that was fun .....Can we do it again next weekend

Seiously we had a ball - we started every stage and had a reasonable crack at 'em.......had a few good (or better) runs....but got hit by penalty points and that pushed us back to about 28th

But frig it - it was bloody great fun :D

As for damage - we didn't break a knuckle - we bent (an already pre bent) tie rod. We didn't break an airbag - we sheared a 50cent connection.
overal we escaped relatively damage free I thought.

anyhow great fun & we'll be back - look out bunting

Now that was a fun weekend.
It was very cool just to meet everyone in person and see the level of sportsmanship and friendship between all of the competitors.
If someone broke or needed something the other teams were always more than happy to help out.

The amount of breakge some people had was insane. I remember Wild Violet breaking a CV virtually every single stage.
Nissan and toyota made a fortune from all of the CV's.
We were lucky with only a tyre that aired down and a broken dana 60 front right uni on the last stage.

We had a great weekend and were happy with the result.
Woodpecker was our first event, then Shane's jeep underwent some major changes and we did Tuff Truck fresh off the trailer.
The hydro steering wasn't quite working right but held up in the end.

Some stages we kicked ass, and others we picked the wrong line, but that is all part of the learning experience.

We will definitely be back at next years tuff truck and will come into it gunning for the top three places at least

There are so many stories to tell from all the competitors.
Last minute truck buildups, massive breakage, sportsmanship, mistakes, victories, etc.

Then there were the brawn girls.
Damn it is good to be sponsored by them. hehe

The DVD is going to rock!!
Congrats to everyone that went and made it what it was.

Thanks to all of the organisers, officials, volunteers and sponsors as well because they did a great job.
I am sure they have learnt a lot from this event and next year will incorporate a lot of improvements.

I can add a couple more places as well...

1st Antunac
2nd Sam Overton
3rd Gonads
4th Dobbins
5th ?????
6th Beebee
9th redzook
11th Firetruck
12th sam kneck
13th Ruff
17th guru in the overkill vitara
26th Jumbo
28th Wooders

Had a great time, all the competitors were freindly and helpful - great bunch of guys.

It was definately a learning experience, and we'll be back next year and all over the place in between!

A couple of clarifications... our Performance Off Road hydro steering worked a treat over the weekend - except for the fact that we mounted the pump on the wrong angle and it was sucking air... that's why it was a tad noisy. It never gave up though, and at no time did we lose steering etc. Sean from POS is gunna help us get the pump sorted - otherwise the system is bloody great - very impressed.

And the girls were ABT4x4 girls, and Brawn girls! Sean from ABT organized the girls and Colin from Brawn escorted them and tried to keep them out of harms way... and I have to say that they did a great job at making tha place look a bit prettier (particularly with Guts and Moose at our campsite... need some balance from somewhere).

Ruff got us with the lockless pisser... funny stuff.

Thanks all for the support.

Se ya next year guys.

Not sure where this info came from but he broke an input shaft , cooked a power steering pump and broke the rear torque bar. by my standard that is not much compared with a lot of the others :?: :?:
and he did start every stage on time :!:

it only took 13 officials half an hour to realise that they could let vehicles out a section of fence on mini wiraba :? . but heh lets face it, that would mean they have used their common sense.
it is good though to see the teamwork involved in having a dozen blokes trying to put in one wooden stake :? . i seem to remember a saying about to many chiefs?.
lets get serious about who and what needs to be on course at any one time or the paying spectator will be driven away by a few people with massive egos..

Here here.

What do they say about toomany cooks...

Three cheers to the excavotors drivers though. Can you imagine how sloe it would have been without them.

But it was a top event, and congrats to Sam O, beebee and ruff ( and navs). You guys are champions, and know haw to compete fiercely AND keep it fun for urselves and the crowd. The sport can only head in the right direction with you guys heavily involved.

Well done beebee driving the whole rocky horror. I was watching the All terrain, :x but thatwas for sure the loudest cheer of the weekend!!!

Cant wait till Bathurst :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :BIG:
