I don't know if I can be of help, but if you guys ever want to watch or get out, I am happy to help. I'm usually wandering around aimlessly most of the day anyyway. You both do a great job, and it's nice to have smiling faces like yours at the event.

Thanks for the offer Em we will keep that in mind for next time.ferog wrote:Bec,rock chick wrote:Thanks Tim for the mention of Kate and myself. Top weekend Thanks to Case a great spotter we end up with 2nd after being in FIRST place for the shoot out but just couldn't get up that ledge, finally got old homeless working well again and held up all comp, now I just need to stop having a little lye down its a bugger when you get old, we seem to learn something new each comp and can't wait for the finals.
Thanks to all officals and competitors and the spectators who made the weekend a great event and to those who missed the best weekend of rock crawling, come to the finals it's worth it I dare say a few of us can smell that trip to the USA and are keen to go and will really have to pull all the stops out to make it
It's a shame that someone liked my camping table and decided to steal it on the Saturday leaves a bit of an ill feeling that you can't leave your gear out at a comp. PLEASE HAVE SOME RESPECT for other people's stuff and go buy it like the rest of us have to.

great pics!
It's about time someone posted some good pics from these events, the OL coverage from the last 2 was a bit dissapointing. It was like no one but the competitors was interested.
Bring on the finals!

I had a great weekend, we had 4 good drives and 4 bad drives, Tim did a great job for his first effort spotting ever, and went home with some battle scars to show for it.
Couple of things I learnt from the weekend is to pick a higher gear, I find myself staying in second gear way too much which doesn't allow for enough wheel speed.
I need to slow down a bit at the start of the courses, rushing the start to make sure there's time at the end doesn't help at all
I baaaadly need to shave my diffs !!
I think the best thing about it all is we didn't break anything and we were home by 2.30pm Sunday afternoon
Thanks to the Haultech crew as always for putting it all on, Dave and his trusty crew of judges for all the hard work, Emma for the use of Goref as expert tow vehicle, Mick and Pete Christie for the emergancy trailer lend and anyone else that helped get us there.
Cheers, Jeremy

Wow what a great weekend.
I have so many things i want to say and so many people i want to thank so i am sorry if this gets a bit long winded.
Firstly i would really like to thank all the spectators who made there way out to the event to cheer us on and help support a growing sport. I could see in the crowd some familar faces of people who attend every round, and i also saw a lot of very new faces. This is great for rockcrawling as we are now starting to see FANS coming back and following there favorite teams and more importantly they are bringing new people along with them and introducing them to one of the best spectator events in the country. And a big cheerio to the group of young guys and girls who saw my rig at Kempsey and decided to come along to the event to see what it was all about. I am sure from your reactions on Sunday we will be seeing you all at the Finals. THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPECTATORS.
Thankyou to 4WD MONTHLY, Offroadimages and The 4x4 show for coming along and capturing all the action over the weekend. There is no dollar figure that we can put on the time and effort you guys put in to make us look good in your related media. It is truely amazing watching some of these guys over the weekend, they just never stop.
Judges, boy oh boy do you guys have one of the tuffest jobs around. It is a real credit to you guys to give up your time to make the stages and courses run smoothly. Just like spectators WEROCK itself seems to now have a VERY DEDICATED core group of judges. They are getting to know the rules more and more and there professionalism in doing their jobs is second to none. I watched many people drive and was so impressed with the judges calls that it actually increased my confidence when it came time for me to drive as i knew the judges were on the ball and making very good and correct calls. GREAT WORK GUYS!
To all the officials. Tony (organisor) , Sam (rear steer course designer), Bec (scorer) , Kate (scorer & medic) , Dave (don't really know what he did all weekend except for whinge), Mick Garner (recoveries), Glen Dobbin (getting Recovered) and Damo on the PA. Great job to all. Big thanks to Tony and Kate, they have really stepped up and taken on the organisation of the event, they both have full time jobs and yet they were still there cleaning up all day monday. Big effort!
Thank you to Charles Inder my Boss at Haultech Industries for allowing me time off to come to the events and also time to work on my junk.
With each compitition i am always amazed at how far teams have progressed over the past year and especially over the past few events. The compitition in each class is becoming closer and producing far more entertaining driving. Most teams have now realised the need and potential of presenting a well set-up and tidy rig. Teams are becoming more and more comfortable with the rules and as a result teams are becoming so much more competitive. To all the teams and support crews out there i would like to commend you all for putting in such a great effort and really showing the spectators what rockcrawling is all about. Congrats to all the competitors, not just the place getters. I know what it takes to get a rig to every round and you all must be applauded for such dedication.
On the subject of competitors i have to say that over the last few Werock events i have gotten the chance to speak with PIP and TIM. These two guys are with out a doubt two of the nicest guys anyone will ever meet. Its a huge bummer that you have had a small amount of mis-fortune at the last two rounds. I am sure you will have it sorted for the finals and come out all guns blazing! YOU GUYS ROCK (p.s you old man is cool as)
To Sam and Dan, you guys are really working great together, each time you are just getting so much better. I am sure with some stronger running gear you guys will be damn near un-stopable at the finals.
Pete and Tazz, you guys are the bomb when it come to rockcrawling. Your ultra competitive which i love and your rig is just damn un-stoppable. When i saw you guys work up the Shoot out Bonus line i turned to WES and said that we had just lost the event, i knew (unfortunatly) that i did not have the skill our experience to pull off that move. Congrats on a hard fought win.
To WES my new spotter, you really worked your arse off all weekend and never once made an error in your judgement. He also managed to do all this work while been sick as a dog, he has been sick for over a week and on saturday night he could hardly talk. Your one strong sucker and i am now looking forward to the finals.
A HUGE HUGE thankyou must go to ROB K, Terry Smith, Haylee, Rob V and all the other guys and girls at Mickey Thompson fo putting in such a mamoth effort over the past few weeks to not only secure a set of 40" sticky Mickeys but to in fact get the ONLY set available in the world for me to use. The new tyres were one of the main reasons i was in equal first on Saturday and they then allowed me to crawl away with the lead going into the shootout (if only mickey Thompson made DriveShafts ). Not only do they support me with a great set of tyres but they are truely dedicated and passionate about Rockcrawling and they take a GENUINE interest in me, my spotter and my buggy. Thank you to all the team at Mickey Thompson (and those associated parties in the US of A ).
Now for the Two most important people in my life, Bec and Lochie. Your understanding and patience before, during and after these events is really appreciated. Since the start of WEROCK this year i have spent more weekends out working on the buggy then you can poke a stick at, but it is your love, understanding and SUPPORT that makes it all worth the while.
All in all i had an absolute blast and can't wait for the finals.
Cheers Adrian.

Sorry for the late reply but ive got a case of whiplash after an accident on the way down to set this event up and havent been able to do too much at night since this event.
This event went a heap better than i expected. We didnt have much time to prepare the area but Dave Bowles Came for a run down a week before the event with me and we spent a couple of days clearing for spectators and competitors. Thanks Dave without you this event wouldnt have happend.
I realy didnt get to see too much of the action there is allways something that needs to be done so i dont get to see much. But what i did see was some great driving. Its suprising how well Pete and Tazz work together now compared to the Finals last year. And Adrian has made a great choice in his new spotter Wes(I tought him everything he knows).
As i said i didnt see a lot of the weekend but For me the best drive of the weekend was Cal and Maurice driving the bonus on B2. Not so much the drive but the thought that went into it. They drove this bonus on 37" tyres without droping over the edge. They did take the LH cone but still got 3 tyres through the gate to finish the course on a -1. I dont know why the modified guys didnt do the same thing it was a fairly easy move but it took looking outside the square to pull it off.
There a a lot of people to thank for this event but i will try and keep it short and in no specific order.
Thanks to All the Guys at Mickey Thompson and TJM. These guys are our major sponsors and without them we couldnt make this happen. Also thanks to our other sponsors that are supporting both us and our competitors throughout this year, OPW, Staun, Australian 4WD Monthly and Haultech Offroad.
Thanks to all the Judges and Kate and Bec in the Scoring tent that make this event run as smooth as it does you all do a great job.
Thanks to Dave Bowles for supplying the Judges Buggy and also generaly helping out in every way durring this event.
Thanks to Mick Garner for again making the long trip down south and drag all these broken rigs out. Is it just me or are you doing less work as these rigs get stronger?
Thanks Pete and Tazz for making a trip out a few months ago to scout the area out for us. Also thanks Pete for bringing the yellow girl up for recoveries and Glen Dobbin for making the time to drive it even if you did almost need the MogRover to recover you
Thanks to the Sydney Offroad Racing Association and primarily Ian Irons for the use of your site and all ther support you gave us coming into this event.
Thanks to Tiny(Adam) from www.my4x4.com.au and the guys and girls from the All Wheel Drive Club for the catering. Im sorry it was at such short notice.
Thanks to Rollanda Rosenstrauss from the Nissan Patrol Club although you couldnt help with the problem we had you had some great advise.
Thanks to Chris Chapman from the Nissan Patrol club for allowing us to use an area of the Nissan Trials course. I hope we didnt abuse this course and if there is any way we can re-pay the favour let me know.
Thanks to all the spectators. Your a great bunch of people and these events wouldnt be the same without you.
Last but not least thanks to Sam Overton for setting the courses and Presenting the trophies.
