Hey Chris that's a diesel engine. But you can use your stock air filter box, cut a little of the long oval air intake behind the summer/winter valve. then you can weld a custom adapter to whatever hose you'll like. make sure uve got all the facory hoses that run to the airbox installed an that the rubber isolator between the box and the carb are not worn or cracked to ensure the box itself is waterproof. This way you can use the stockfilter (K&N makes also one that fits I believe. Of course it's om the LHS but that makes it easier to install on aRHD vehicle
cheers

hey all just a quick question
how much can you lift the front end of a f20 before you have problems with drive line and steering
i herd you cant lift the front at all and i also noticed on my F20 that the rear had extended shackels but the front didnt
i was think of getting the springs reset 2 inche taller
and refitting the standard shackles would the front end handle this
cheers

um not really sure. but i put 2in extended shackles on the front of mine and havn't had any trouble at all

by runnin4life
thanks for that
are you running 2 inche extended shackles and 2 inche body lift?
Posted: Thu Oct 13, 2005 5:57 pm
by Hatsu
I've got about a 50mm spring lift all round, and haven't noticed any problems in over a year.
Resetting your springs would be a cheap way of getting a bit of lift, until they sink again, of course.

if you can also find where the glass panels came from
Posted: Wed Nov 09, 2005 9:25 pm
by millhouse
the panels were moulded from the old one before it rusted away
the daihatsu centers are the same as another diff type (dana i think) and he just matched them up
we have another project sitting at home scat trayback f55 i think,
and it also has front and rear detroits, so they are availible with a bit of modifacation.
i will try to find out the model that fits!!
