rivets and self tappers are not needed (have you ever tried to pull something off that has sikaflexed on once it is on it is on to stay how do you think a lot of boats are held together ( yes i know about that as i am a boat builder))

yer i wudnt bother with more support, its like silicon isnt it? is so u would struggle to pull that off without a pry bar

Ive seen people mount spoilers using only sikaflex and have never seen or heard of one falling off so i wouldnt worry about checker plate trim.

Sikaflex is the gear to use. We tried liquid nails first, but it didnt stick.

I have to ask why? Looked better with the camo all the way round. Was it cause of the dent?
P.s. Tops work!!!

Originally we planned on using the chequer plate corners, so didnt worry about fixing the dent !
When it was painted the house was divided as to how they looked on the camo. Linda was dead against them, i thought they would look ok, but Hailey still wanted them on.
We thought that the other chequer plate work would match in with them.
In hindsight, we should have fixed the dent and then decided, but it was kind of too late once we'd painted it

Does your mechanic make the checkerplate corners or did he happen to have them spare? I've got a dent 20x worse than your one

They were spare ones he had lying around. Hailey had to bribe him with a bottle of wine as well !

First up... awesome job, a big armsup to the Cookie Monster Crew
. Fantastic to see the girls giving it a go, congrats Hayley... a big step forward for the chickies
Quick question... I'm doing a drop-down table in the Jimny as well, where did you get those stretchy toggles from? Correct term for them?

We actually got them from a place that supplies PVC blinds, as mrw82 said, most accessory places will sell them.
The pics show 2 straps on the table, but after driving the car, we've added a 3rd in the middle to stop it vibrating.
This week will see us taking the zook down to Hailey's school for marking and general viewing. I think there will be stronge interest in it
Ill post some pics of the final stages of the build and the school display later this week / next week.

I reckon 'Cooki Senior' would made an excellent Design & Technology teacher. You have shown Hayley the right way to do things.
A lot of high school students would benefit greatly if they had a teacher like you. Well done to both of you!
